An internship beyond my expectations
My name is Pimchanok Saengpromtip, or you can call me Bell. I’m a fourth-year student at Mahidol University International College (MUIC), majoring in Business Administration Marketing and minoring in Psychology.
This is the story of my special internship here at Seven Peaks Software as a digital marketing intern. This has been a great opportunity for me to start working in the real-world and get my hands dirty.
Starting my internship journey at Seven peaks Software
I was looking for an internship position at digital marketing as it relates to my field and it is the job that well responds to the post covid world.
It was an exciting moment when I knew that I passed the interview round. I was interviewing with HR in the first round and Bo Lund Pedersen, Digital marketing supervisor. Both rounds were very nice and cozy interviews. I think what they want to see from candidates is our past experience, attitudes, and ambition.
And the result is…..yeah you guess I was accepted!
I remember that I was so thrilled when walking into The PARQ, a building with modern architecture and very high-tech.
Seven Peaks Software’s office has a nice environment and modern design. I was impressed by many elements of the office setting, especially the large pantry area, wide office windows, and comfy chairs.
P’Aii, from the human resources team, walked me through the office and to my table, and I was surprised with such a nice welcome gift placed on my table.
I feel very warm and well-coming on my first day at Seven Peaks Software. They settled up an onboarding meeting which explained about company culture and what I am going to do next.
In addition, I had a welcome lunch with my team. Along with a full and well-satisfied stomach, I got to know my colleagues much better.
Transitioning from college to office
While I was in college, I learned things from textbooks and theory. However, at Seven Peaks Software, it is different; I learn from doing.
Before I only knew digital marketing as a one component with social media, now there are a lot more than that. We work on SEO, SEM, copywriting, marketing automation, social media, website landing pages, and more.
Thus, Bo gave me a great opportunity to explore many sub categories in digital marketing and authority to do tasks creating impacts.
My initial three-month internship here went by very fast! Therefore, I extended my internship to two more months to gain more experience, and to have more fun too!
Along with doing tasks I was assigned, I got many valuable mentoring and guidance. Bo also provided a two-week class covering all aspects of digital marketing so that I can finish my internship with a full set of newly added knowledge.
Beyond my expectations
The most priceless things that I can find anywhere else are ‘friends and colleagues’. They are supportive and always help me when I feel stuck at work and other things.
Moreover, because its company has an inclusive, flat, and non-hierarchy culture, we can feel free to voice our opinions and friends with people.
We even formed a full-squad on Call of Duty Mobile during our lunchtime!
I was happy and grateful to take an internship here at Seven Peaks Software in a digital marketing intern position.
I gained many invaluable experiences and friendships from people in Seven Peaks Software. All of these experiences can be found in any books or courses but in Seven Peaks Software.
If you ask me who this digital intern position suits for, I would say it is for people who are looking for digital marketing experience, and want to work on a job that creates an impact along with practical mentoring and building connections with people.
