An unforgettable experience with KFAM

Volunteering with a purpose
We’re starting the year as we mean to go on. At the beginning of the year, team members of Seven Peaks volunteer in Chiang Mai, having the honor of sponsoring and volunteering at Kharma Family’s four-day charity event in Omkoi District, Chiang Mai.
Working with Kharma Family and a team of Special Forces members from the nearby Maerim Military Base, representatives of Seven Peaks assisted in the distribution of clothes, school supplies, and daily necessities to children from seven different local schools.
On the first day, we visited Baan Sob Hard School. The kids were watching cartoons and were quite shy so we gave them snacks and candies and we’ve become friends.
Then we went to Chuimo School (Our volunteers based here during the trip). We started distributing things that are needed in daily life to 7 schools
The next day, we separated into groups to cook, play and do with kids. The following day at Chuimo School is a big day; it’s a sport day between 7 schools. The kids had so much fun with activities, food, snacks, and drinks.
The last day with the kids, we said goodbye to the kids and teachers. Hope we can come back to volunteer in Chiang Mai and be a part of this unforgettable trip with KFAM again.

We are one
Finding the time may be the biggest challenge when it comes to volunteering. It is worth finding ways to manage or make the time to volunteer as the benefits are enormous. Help others who are in need, helps support worthwhile causes and help their communities.
These acts may also help you make new friends, connect with a community, learn new skills, advance your career and even learn a bit more about yourself too.
Find your purpose
Helping others can aid your mental and physical health as well. It has the power to reduce stress and combat depression due to giving an added boost of purpose in your life. It does not take a lot of your time during busy working days to volunteer and give back to society.
Keep it simple, as it is the little things that make volunteering a charm through improving yours and other people’s health and happiness through kindness.
As for companies, it is also equally as important that we demonstrate a form of social responsibility. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) paired along with good ethical practices are a key factor to corporate success. Consumers are now becoming more aware of the importance of CSR more than ever as they actively seek out products and services from businesses who operate ethically.
CSR shows that your business actually cares and shows interest in real worldwide issues and not just profits. Showing that you care about making a positive impact in this world and helping others will also attract customers who share the same values. CSR is not a public relations attempt, but a genuine attempt to make this world sustain to a better place in the future.
